Chelsea Mitchell DMD
Hi, I am Dr. Chelsea Mitchell. I am originally from Ogden, Utah and grew up skiing, camping, and mountain biking in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains. I completed my Bachelor of Science with Honors in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Utah. I worked as a medical device engineer for several years before realizing I wanted to help patients directly in the dental chair, by improving their health and their smiles. I received my Doctor of Dental Medicine from the innovative Roseman University of Health Sciences in South Jordan, Utah. While enrolled, I was a member of the infamous “Plaque Sweepers” Curling Team, which was formed by dentists.
I received the “Most Outstanding Research” award in my class for investigating a new fluoride for treating tooth decay in elderly patients. My research has been published in the Journal of Dentistry, the British Dental Journal, and the Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology. I completed an optional 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency with NYU and completed clinical training at Pascua Yaqui Tribal Dental Center in Tucson. I am passionate about dental implants and have completed over 300 special training hours with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
In my spare time, I love kayaking at Patagonia Lake, yoga, playing with my dog “Millie Nelson”, curling at various tournaments throughout the country, and going to restaurants with my parents, who also moved to Tucson. I am humbled to be part of the amazing Marana Sky Dental team and to serve the patients of this beautiful area. I am a proud member of multiple local and national dental associations.
