Chelsea Mitchell DMD
Hi, I am Dr. Chelsea Mitchell. I am originally from Ogden, Utah and grew up skiing, camping, and mountain biking in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains. I completed my Bachelor of Science with Honors in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Utah. I worked as a medical device engineer for several years before realizing I wanted to help patients directly in the dental chair, by improving their health and their smiles. I received my Doctor of Dental Medicine from Roseman University of Health Sciences in South Jordan, Utah. While enrolled, I was a member of the infamous “Plaque Sweepers” winter curling team, which was formed by dentists.
I received the “Most Outstanding Research” award in my class for investigating a new fluoride for treating tooth decay in elderly patients. My research has been published in the Journal of Dentistry, the British Dental Journal, and the Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology. I completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency with NYU and completed clinical training at Pascua Yaqui Tribal Dental Center in Tucson. I love helping patients replace their missing teeth with dental implants, and have completed over 300 training hours with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. I am also certified in neurotoxin (Botox) and filler administration for jaw joint therapeutics and facial cosmetics.
In my spare time, my partner and I love playing with our dogs, skiing at Mount Lemmon, yoga, rock climbing, and ice climbing in Colorado every winter. I am humbled to be part of the dedicated Marana Sky Dental team and to serve the patients of this beautiful area. I am a proud member of the Academy of General Dentistry and Pima Dental Study Club.
