Dental Shots

In blog, Dental Work, General Dentistry

Hi, my name is Kristen, and I’m a dental assistant. I just wanted to talk to you guys a little bit about what we do when we give dental shots in the office. Our doctors are wonderful and they do a great job! I was just with a doctor last week and I saw him give a shot to a 3-year-old patient and he did wonderful! The kid didn’t even know he was getting a shot. He was watching TV – we have a TV at the top so they can watch it from a screen above so the kid was looking up the whole time so by the time it was done he had no idea, he never even looked at the doctor, it was just done. He just did it and it was that perfect. He shakes their cheek so the initial insertion of the needle they don’t even feel. It was something that is really cool and I have worked with a couple doctors and have never seen it done. A technique just like that – it was pretty awesome. I just wanted to let you know that so if you do have little kids, or even for yourself if you are nervous or you have that amped up feeling of man I really don’t want to go into the dental office because this feeling – I just really don’t want to do that – we don’t want you to have that nervous feeling, because our doctors, all four of them, put you at ease, and they really make you feel part of the team and really make you feel comfortable and you are in a place you can relax. Thanks for listening.
